OVERVIEW

Medicover is a European medical services company which runs customer-facing operations in multiple East European countries. Medicover has a strong talent pipeline but there was a skills gap in the capability of their leaders around innovation. We partnered with a business school to deliver a bespoke, immersive Innovation Leadership Programme.

SOLUTION

We developed a one-year leadership programme to provide the leadership capabilities, knowledge and skill to both drive a culture on innovation, and deliver value from new ideas. Part of the programme was an immersion.. Participants visited innovative organisations,, and we helped them to take the principles from these organisations to apply to their own leadership. Another key element, which drove the success of the programme was a live business challenge. This enabled participants to test their learning and generate ideas relevant to the business.

RESULTS

The programme was highly regarded by all participants, with 99.4% agreeing that they would recommend the programme.

Furthermore, the initial one year programme was extended for another year, based on the results of the first year.

64% of participants have been promoted since enrolling on the programme and Medicover has seen an 84% retention rate of participants.

One element of the programme is to prototype and test an idea with stakeholders or customers. One of the groups did this, and their idea generated €90,000 revenue during its pilot stage!
