POST-COVID LEARNING TRENDS: LED BY TECH

In the first quarter of 2020, most of us had a rude awakening to remote working when circumstances forced us to become more deeply familiar with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Cisco Webex, Zoom, Miro and more. What is striking about this is the speed at which we adapted — successfully so — in order to retain a semblance of normality and productivity.

What has changed?

Long gone are the days of face to face training or development sessions, and there is now an expectation from some employees that learning should be carried out safely and regularly by leveraging technology.

The benefits:

  • Learning can be done no matter where the employee is geographically
  • The use of tech platforms to ensure that learners are motivated
Hello Tomorrow: Future Technology

By way of example, we are developing tech learning solutions which encourage learners to absorb and engage with a variety of learning stimulus: articles, nuggets of information, on demand courses, community learning and the ability to have that community upload their own additional advice, tools or stimulus. Importantly, this learning platform, called a ‘knowledge centre’, is available on smart phone, laptop and desktop to ensure learning can continue to happen everywhere.

Ask The Question
  • How can you ensure you provide better than adequate technology to ensure learning access outside of the workplace?
  • Something that is available to everyone in the organisation, which encourages interaction, and allow multiple types of media and input as well as output?
